Career
Toumani Camara began his professional basketball career after being selected by the Phoenix Suns as the 52nd overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Shortly after, he was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers as part of a pivotal deal between three teams involving star player Damian Lillard.
Camara signed a four-year rookie contract with the Trail Blazers on July 3, 2023, and made his NBA debut on October 25, 2023, against the Los Angeles Clippers, where he recorded seven points, two rebounds and a tectonic.
During his rookie season (2023-24), Camara played in 70 games, starting 49 of them. He averaged 7.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game while shooting 45% from the field.
