Toyin Afolayan was born on September 24, 1959 in Agbamu, Kwara State, Nigeria and is now 65 years old.

She is the cousin of the late famous actor, producer and director Adeyemi Afolayan (also known as Ade Love). She grew up in a large family with many relatives working in the entertainment industry.

She attended St. Anne’s Primary School and St. Joseph’s Secondary School in Ilorin, Kwara State. She later obtained a diploma in Catering and Hotel Management from the Kwara State Polytechnic.
