Taylor Swift is busy working on new music, but it probably won’t sound like her previous albums.
The singer’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, hinted that the star is working on new music and that it could be a departure from her famous hits about lovers. ex did wrong to her.
In an interview with Pat McAfee in the frame Pat McAfee Show, Kelce was asked if Swift was making an album about a positive partner in her life instead of a “f–k boy” ex.
“I don’t know. There might be a few…” Kelce responded.
Kelce remains coy about what might be on his girlfriend’s next record.
“You know I can’t talk, you know I can’t say… any of that. I hear music everywhere,” he said.
It is believed that many of the songs on Swift’s final album, The poet group was torturedabout her dating The 1975 frontman Matty Healy. In the album’s title track, Swift sings about how she and her ex believe Charlie Puth should have become a bigger artist.
“You smoke, then eat seven bars of chocolate/We declare Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist,” she sings.
Healy previously tweeted that he loves Puth’s music.
“Charlie Puth and Boyz II Men’s song is terrible,” he wrote on X.
Additionally, Swift appears to sing about Healy in the song “The Littlest Man Who Ever Lived.” In the first verse of the song, she sings about the suits her previous lover wore, alluding to her love of 1975s suits during their performances.
She sings: “Is any of it true? / Stare at me with starry eyes in your Jehovah’s Witness attire.”
“You tried to buy some pills / From a friend of mine / They just screwed you over / Now you know how it feels,” she continues singing, alluding to drug problems from Healy’s past.
Healy’s mother, Denise Welch, previously spoke to Sunday Times about the moment her son confided in her, revealing that he needed rehab.
“I knew he had a problem because he was always very open with me, but I had absolutely no idea that it was worth the rehab,” she said.
The newspaper went on to report that Healy still drinks and smokes, but he no longer uses drugs.
“I had to step back and realize that Matty was the son of an alcoholic, and I had to face the shame that brought,” Welch added.
Swift has been dating Kelce since the summer of 2023 and some songs on The poet group was tortured also seems to be about him and many speculate that “So High School” and “The Alchemy” are about him.
Kelce’s talk about Swift’s new music comes as the singer is expected to release her final two re-recorded albums this year with her self-titled debut as well as her version of the song . Reputation.
