Tupac Murder Suspect Alleges Prison Abuse as High-Stakes Trial Ahead

Duane “Keefe D” Davis, the suspect in the Tupac Shakur murder case, is concerned for his safety while being held at the Clark County Detention Center.

The 61-year-old’s paranoia grew, and he believed that even with prison guards around, he was still in danger.

A friend of the gangster told The US Sun that Keefe said, “I don’t know if I can get in here.”

Expressing concerns for his father’s safety, Duane Davis Jr. stressed, “My dad would be safer out of there, man.” He also condemned the decision to deny his father’s request for bail.

His remarks referenced Judge Carli Kierny’s decision to deny bail to Keefe D following a funds hearing earlier this week.

During the proceedings, Keefe stunned everyone by making a series of allegations related to an incident in which he claimed he was attacked by unidentified prison officers in his cell on August 9.

Compton gangster has boldly alleged that prosecutors staged an attack on him that resulted in him being severely beaten and having $300 worth of food stolen from his cell.

During the hearing, he told the judge: “They beat me brutally, attacked me and assaulted me… I told them I had cancer and was on blood thinners.”

According to a person close to the Keefe family, “[He] erupted in court as the stress and fear that had built up over the past year now became a major issue in his mind.”

The suspect believed it was important to share his prison experience in court and ensure that his story was known to the public, especially since the suspect knew that the media was paying attention to the case.

They added, “He was worried that he might die or become seriously ill before he had a chance to stand trial for Tupac’s murder.”

Since his arrest in September 2023, Keefe has reportedly voiced concerns about potential retaliation from Blood gang members who may seek revenge for his claims of orchestrating Tupac’s murder.

Furthermore, the source said he still firmly believes that there is information circulating that someone is plotting against him, causing him to live in constant fear.

However, an insider in the Las Vegas legal system dismissed any suggestion that Keefe was not adequately protected.

Stressing the commitment of law enforcement, the source told the news agency that they would ensure his safety and have given him maximum protection.

“Neither the district attorney nor law enforcement cares what happens to Keefe, especially since the case has attracted so much attention and is being watched by the whole world.”

“The fact that he just said he was attacked and made these statements is absurd,” the source continued. “But many convicted criminals will say anything to get out of protective custody and go home.”

However, the District Attorney’s Office said Keefe’s claims were baseless.

The insider added, “It’s no secret that Keefe is extremely disappointed that he didn’t get bail,” as it was reported that he was expected to be released on bail and out by January 2024.

They continued, “Being locked up for so long has left him depressed, sad and worried that he will never see anything other than life behind prison bars again.”
