In a new report published by the Daily Mail following David and Victoria’s 25th wedding anniversary, the outlet revealed that the Spice Girl originally dated Mark, who worked for her father’s electronics supply business.

The couple are said to have met at St. Mary’s High School in Cheshunt when she was 14. They have lived together since then at the family home in Goff’s Oak in Hertfordshire.
In 1994, Victoria tried her luck and auditioned for the Spice Girls. Shortly after, Mark proposed to the then 20-year-old singer. Victoria and Mark never married and they split in 1996 after six years of dating.
However, she still called herself Victoria Adams Wood during her early career with the Spice Girls.

“For some reason, we got engaged. He’s an alarm engineer. If only he had stayed in the cupboard I met him at my mother’s house,” Victoria said in a 2002 interview.
The “Wannabe” singer left her ex unimpressed with her comments, prompting Mark to criticize her Victoria Beckham’s Secret in 2004.
At the time, Mark claimed Victoria “traveled like an express train” and that she had different tastes.
“As they say, revenge is a dish best served cold,” a Channel 5 spokesperson said at the time. “Mark has never spoken publicly about his relationship with Victoria but felt it was time to set the record straight. Mark was quite hurt by what she said and has no intention of forgiving Victoria for her embarrassment.”

Victoria found love again after the breakup and started dating David. They married in 1999 after two years of dating.

The 50-year-old mother of three and the former footballer celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in separate posts on Instagram. They shared photos from their wedding celebrations over the years, even wearing their iconic purple outfits.

Ahead of the anniversary, Beckham appeared on the podcast “Smartless” and opened up a lot about their relationship.
“Of course, when you’re with someone for that long, of course you’re going to have your ups and downs, everyone knows that and at the end of the day, we’re lucky to have each other in those moments,” he said.
