Melinda Lou “Wendy” Thomas-Morse was born on September 14, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio, to Dave and Lorraine Thomas. She grew up in Upper Arlington. She has four siblings, Ken, Pam, Molly, and Lori.
She had difficulty pronouncing her name, Melinda, as a child, and was thus nicknamed Wendy. Wendy’s symbol is a freckled young girl with red pigtails.
