Cause of Death of Micah Meggs

On May 6, 2023, reality television star Olivia Plath announced via social media that she was deeply saddened by the passing of her brother Micah Meggs.

Micah Meggs, who was operating an electric bicycle in the southbound right lane on US 220 in Franklin County on the night of May 4, collided with a Honda Accord traveling southbound in the right lane of the same roadway.

The crash occurred less than a mile north of Virginia 619 in Franklin County just after 10 p.m., leaving Micah dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda, however, was not injured — and the incident remains under investigation, according to Virginia State Police.

Olivia announced that she would be taking a break from social media to mourn the loss of her youngest brother. She wrote on her Instagram story, “Hey everyone, I’m taking a break from social media for a while. Don’t worry if you don’t see me – I’m taking some space/time. I lost my brother last night to a tragic accident and I need clarity and space to grieve…”

Olivia also thanked her social media followers for giving her space and time to grieve.
