Padmé Amidala
Created By George Lucas Cast Natalie Portman , Catherine Taber First Appearance Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace Alliance Naboo, Republic
Padmé Amidala is an incredibly brave character, which can at times be overlooked because of her role in the prequels. Specifically, while Padmé may very well be Anakin Skywalker’s love interest and one of the factors in his downfall, she is much more than Anakin’s wife and Luke and Leia’s mother. Rather, she was the Queen of Naboo at just 14 years old and was willing to risk her life to protect her people. She then served valiantly in the Senate, including putting herself in harm’s way during the Clone Wars.
There Padmé would make the perfect best friend for an Aries. Aries is a Zodiac sign known for confidence, passion, and bravery. Padmé clearly had each of these traits fully on display throughout the prequel trilogy, and both she and the Aries she was friends with would thrive by helping one another. Truly, Padmé and an Aries would bring out the best in one another.

Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader
Created By George Lucas Cast Bob Anderson , Hayden Christensen , James Earl Jones , Matt Lanter , Matt Lucas , Jake Lloyd , David Prowse , Sebastian Shaw First Appearance Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope Alliance Jedi, Sith
Anakin Skywalker is a dynamic character in Star Wars, to say the least. In part, this is because he is the Chosen One; his story was always destined to be exceptional. However, despite that legacy, Anakin was also very human and, frequently, deeply flawed. Clearly, that manifested in very negative ways at times, given his ultimate turn to the dark side. However, these flaws were at times much more charming, including in moments where he was a bit egotistical, argumentative, and stubborn.
This would make him an ideal best friend for a Taurus, who would completely understand Anakin’s more stubborn, single-minded nature. In fact, a Taurus would likely even enjoy bantering with Anakin, not unlike Ahsoka Tano did. This Zodiac sign is also known for its fierce loyalty, which Anakin would not only appreciate but also reciprocate.

Outgoing Geminis Would Get Along Perfectly With R2-D2

R2-D2
Created By George Lucas Cast Kenny Baker , Jimmy Vee First Appearance Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope Alliance Naboo, Republic, Jedi, Rebel Alliance, Resistance
R2-D2 is one of the most important characters in all of Star Wars, even if he is a droid. In fact, R2-D2 is one of few characters who have played a role in every single Skywalker Saga trilogy, and he was so important from the beginning that George Lucas even considered making him the narrator of Star Wars. In addition to his massive importance, though, R2-D2 is also an incredibly lovable character who has been a clear friend to both Anakin and Luke Skywalker.
Geminis would therefore find R2-D2 to be an excellent friend. Geminis are known for being friendly, social, and charming. Their fun-loving, lighthearted nature would therefore mesh perfectly with R2’s fun nature. However, R2-D2 has also shown a more sarcastic side over the years, and Geminis would fit well with that side of R2 too. After all, this Zodiac sign is known for its twins for a reason.
Qui-Gon Jinn Would Make A Wonderful Friend For An Emotional Cancer

Qui-Gon Jinn
Created By George Lucas Cast Liam Neeson First Appearance Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace Alliance Jedi
Qui-Gon Jinn has an interesting legacy in Star Wars. On the one hand, he was the Jedi who found Anakin Skywalker and brought the Chosen One to the Jedi Order. He was also clearly well-respected, even by the Jedi Council, who found his rule-breaking behavior unfavorable. However, these same traits meant that Qui-Gon was in no small part responsible for what became of Anakin. Despite that complexity, though, Qui-Gon proved to be a very kind, compassionate, and even warm person throughout Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.
This empathy that Qui-Gon demonstrated throughout The Phantom Menace makes it clear that Qui-Gon would be an ideal friend for a Cancer. Cancers are known for being highly sensitive and emotional, and Qui-Gon would be understanding and accommodating about those feelings. In fact, whereas other Jedi would warn against these feelings, Qui-Gon would no doubt be a true friend and help another person work through them.
Feisty Leos Would Match Darth Maul’s Ego In The Best Way

Darth Maul
Created By George Lucas Cast Ray Park , Sam Witwer First Appearance Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace Alliance Sith/Shadow Collective, Crimson Dawn
Darth Maul has had a fantastic Star Wars arc. He was impressive enough in The Phantom Menace, but the franchise then shockingly brought him back time and again in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and Solo: A Star Wars Story. In part, this is because Maul is such a brilliant character. He was a silent, terrifying Sith in The Phantom Menace, but his subsequent appearances revealed that he was also unpredictable, obsessed with revenge, and even sensitive in fascinating ways.
Of course, above most other traits, Maul had a massive ego—enough so that he felt confident in taking over Mandalore. This would make him a wonderful friend to a Leo. Leos can certainly relate to having a bit of an ego, but they would also understand Maul’s need for vengeance. As one of the fire signs, Leos certainly have that same anger inside them, but the specifically passionate traits of a Leo make them an even better fit for Maul.
Organized, Rule-Following Virgos Would Have The Perfect Friendship With C-3PO

C-3PO
Created By George Lucas Cast Anthony Daniels First Appearance Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope Alliance Rebel Alliance, Resistance
C-3PO has been nearly as central to Star Wars as R2-D2 has been, but their personalities couldn’t be more different. Whereas R2-D2 is spontaneous and even fun-loving at times, C-3PO is cautious, dedicated, and orderly. This makes considerable sense, as C-3PO was a protocol droid created by Anakin Skywalker to help his mother. However, more so than most, C-3PO is focused on doing things by the book.
More so than most, C-3PO is focused on doing things by the book.
This would make C-3PO the best friend for a Virgo. Virgos, like C-3PO, are interested in remaining organized, abiding by rules and expectations, and maintaining a sense of responsibility. As friends, C-3PO and a Virgo would completely understand one another, and, together, they would be an incredible team. In fact, arguably, C-3PO wasn’t valued enough by Star Wars’ heroes, but a Virgo would never take C-3PO for granted.
A Sagittarius Would Love Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Sense Of Humor

Obi-Wan Kenobi
Created By George Lucas Cast Alec Guinness , Ewan McGregor First Appearance Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope Alliance Jedi
Obi-Wan Kenobi is a fan favorite for a reason. In addition to being one of the most powerful Jedi in the franchise, Obi-Wan is wise, kind, determined, and, above all else, incredibly funny. Even in the bleakest moments, Obi-Wan brought a sense of levity, and his relationship with Anakin in particular revealed how witty and charming he really could be.
For that reason, Obi-Wan Kenobi would be an ideal best friend for a Sagittarius. Sagittarians are known for their optimism and humor, both of which would mesh well with Obi-Wan. In fact, even with Obi-Wan living on Tatooine in the wake of the Jedi Order being ripped apart during Order 66 and Obi-Wan having to fight his best friend nearly to the death, Obi-Wan never truly lost hope. Obi-Wan and a Sagittarius could foster these positive traits in one another.

Count Dooku
Created By George Lucas Cast Christopher Lee , Corey Burton First Appearance Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones Alliance Jedi, Sith
It’s easy to write Dooku off as yet another Star Wars villain, but in truth, he was so much more than that. Yes, Dooku was one of Star Wars’ most powerful Sith, but he began as a Jedi with ideals. In fact, really, Dooku wasn’t all that different from his former Padawan, Qui-Gon Jinn. While Dooku clearly took things too far, in the end, he really was a person who had convictions that drove him to make a number of questionable choices (to say the least).
The complex nature of Dooku is precisely why he would make such an excellent friend for a Scorpio.
The complex nature of Dooku is precisely why he would make such an excellent friend for a Scorpio, however. Scorpios are known for being secretive, and while that may be true, there is more a Scorpio than just that one trait, just as there is more to Dooku than there initially seems to be. In fact, Scorpios are ambitious, passionate, and determined, which are all traits that perfectly align with Count Dooku. While they could be a dangerous pair, Dooku and a Scorpio are definitely a perfect fit.
Shmi Skywalker Would Make An Excellent Fit For A Libra’s Idealism
First Appeared In: Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace

Shmi Skywalker had a very tragic fate in Star Wars. In fact, she arguably had one of the most gruesome deaths in the franchise. Despite her terrible end, though, Shmi was always a character who maintained a positive outlook and saw the best in people. Sadly, this part of Anakin’s past was lost to him as he spent more time in the Jedi Order, at war, and being influenced by Palpatine, but his pure heart in The Phantom Menace was a reflection of the person his mother was and how she raised him.
These traits of positivity and kindness make Shmi Skywalker the perfect best friend for a Libra.
These traits of positivity and kindness make Shmi Skywalker the perfect best friend for a Libra. Libras are known for being compassionate and idealistic, both traits that Shmi would share. However, Libras can also at times struggle with indecision. Shmi would be a wonderful friend for a Libra in that sense too; few characters can compare with Shmi’s patience, kindness, and warmth. Shmi would therefore happily guide and support an indecisive Libra.
A Brilliant Aquarius Would Thrive With Yoda As Their Best Friend

Yoda
Created By George Lucas Cast Frank Oz , Tom Kane First Appearance Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back Alliance Jedi
Yoda is undeniably one of the most powerful, iconic, and important characters in Star Wars. Although he began as a quirky old alien in The Empire Strikes Back, the prequel trilogy revealed how incredible he was at the height of his power and how much respect he earned not only within the Jedi Order but also in the Republic more broadly. Yes, part of this influence was because of his strength in the Force. However, one of Yoda’s most significant traits was his immense wisdom.
Aquarians are known for their creativity and their altruism, both of which would also make them great friends for Master Yoda. Yet, it is the Aquarius intelligence that would truly make Yoda the best friend for this Zodiac sign. Not only would Yoda and an Aquarius fit well together as friends, but also, they would be able to achieve great things together.
Mace Windu Would Make Fast Friends With The Disciplined Capricorn

Mace Windu
Created By George Lucas Cast Samuel L. Jackson First Appearance Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace Alliance Jedi
Mace Windu is a fascinating Star Wars character. He was undoubtedly a very powerful Jedi, and he was known especially for being skilled with a lightsaber. However, he also proved throughout the prequel trilogy that he prioritized rule following and expected compliance from those around him. In certain ways, this could be a negative; for example, he treated young Anakin with some hostility because of the risk he posed. On the other hand, this meant that Mace Windu was incredibly dedicated, hardworking, and disciplined.
These traits make Mace Windu the perfect friend for a Capricorn. The Capricorn Zodiac sign is known for hard work and determination, as well as for practicality. Of course, Capricorns are also known for being a bit stubborn and even controlling at times—descriptions that also fit Mace Windu. Together, Mace Windu and a Capricorn could bring out the best in one another and help each other work through the downsides of their strengths.
Bail Organa Would Make An Amazing Friend To An Empathetic Pisces
First Appeared In: Star Wars: Episode II – Attack Of The Clones

Bail Organa had already proven to be an amazing character in the prequel trilogy, but Obi-Wan Kenobi revealed just how wonderful Bail Organa truly was. In addition to being a dedicated Senator who always fought for what was right, including against the Empire, Bail was happy to take Leia in and love her truly as his own. Even before that, he took on a mentorship role with Padmé that revealed how caring he was.
This makes Bail Organa the perfect friend for a Pisces. Pisces, in addition to being the final Zodiac sign, is known for a high level of compassion and emotions. Not only would Bail Organa match the empathetic nature of a Pisces, but also, he would be understanding about the Pisces’ own emotions. Bail Organa is therefore an ideal friend for a Pisces, just as each of these Star Wars prequel trilogy characters is the perfect best friend for the 12 Zodiac signs.
