Lynn Ban is the daughter of Patricia and David Ban. She was born as the eldest child of two siblings to her parents. The family lived in Katong before moving to New York because of her father’s job. She was only four years old at that time. The family spent three years in New York before moving to Hong Kong in 1979. They returned to New York in 1982 and remained there for another five years, after which they returned to Singapore.

David spoke to SCMP on Malaysia becoming a haven for wealthy Asians as the Four Seasons Place project, Kuala Lumpur’s tallest hotel/residential building at 65 storeys, took nearly two decades to come to fruition.

“We bought the land in 2003 and didn’t make any plans until we were pretty sure the time was right,” he said. “Kuala Lumpur is entering a new era and there is a growing demand for something more upscale and spectacular, like a hotel and residence of this caliber. As Kuala Lumpur is also a springboard to some of the most beautiful destinations in the region, we expect the number of tourists to the city to increase significantly.”
