Havana Rose Liu No Way Out

Hulu Premieres Horror Movie No way out directed by Damien Power. The show wrapped production in New Zealand in June 2021. The series is produced by Scott Frank, co-creator of The Queen’s GambitMeanwhile, the show is written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari.

The film follows a young girl named Darby (played by actress Havana Rose Liu) who gets stuck with a group of people on a mountaintop during a blizzard. Things then take a dangerous turn when Darby discovers a kidnapped child in one of the people’s cars, sparking a terrifying fight for survival to find out which of them is the kidnapper.

Havana stars Dennis Haysbert, Danny Ramirez, David Rysdahl, Dale Dickey and Mila Harris.

Speaking to Looper, Havana shared that the script, character, and director were the reasons she decided to audition for “No Exit.”

Meanwhile, speaking about her character to Screen Rant, Liu shared, “I think she’s bold and resilient and complex and strong, but also very delicate and vulnerable, and there’s a quiet strength to her that makes her interesting. When I fell in love with her, I just felt, ‘Oh, I want to play this role, even if it’s scary.’ The journey that she goes on, in a way, spiritually, is even more important than mine.” [having] to overcome my fear.”

Havana also shared that because her character is an addict, she did research on the character. She shared that she has family members who are also suffering from the same problem. During her research, she also developed a deep sense of empathy for what people with past, present, and past addiction experiences are going through.
