“When I was flown to Little Rock after going into premature labor with my twins, my parents didn’t hesitate for a second,” Jenny writes. “They jumped in the car and drove overnight to be with me at the hospital. When the boys were born a month later, they rushed here again. They flew to Branson and then drove to see their newborn grandchildren. They stayed with me at the hospital and wore protective gear for weeks during NICU visits.”

She continued, “When the doctor decided to schedule Charlotte for a cesarean section, my parents flew in the night before and were here to watch the boys and be the ones to take them to the hospital to meet their new sister. When we were given 24 hours notice that Sylvie was finally allowed to leave the country where she was born, my parents jumped in the car and drove 17 hours to come here with us to meet the granddaughter they had loved for so many years from across the ocean.”

“And, when little Luke surprised us by arriving early, they rushed over again,” Jenny added. “They spent a week loving on our new baby boy and making sure the four adults never felt left out during the stressful days of his birth. They were intentional about their time and love. They always put family first. They were there for the most important moments.”

Jenny and her husband Dave built a home for her parents and after 16 years of commuting between Orlando and Northwest Arkansas, they now live near Jenny’s family.

On Christmas Day 2020, Jenny shared that her parents were a 17 hour drive away and now they were right down the street, which was the best thing that happened in 2020 for her family.
