TV and radio presenter Jimmy Savile has a secret daughter he has only just heard about. A divorcee named Georgina Ray has gone to the mainstream media claiming to be Sir Savile’s daughter. She has made it clear from the start that she is not after his £2.5 million fortune.

And, she is now seeking a DNA test to prove she is Sir Jimmy’s daughter. However, the woman, who bears a striking resemblance to the late presenter, is said to have told lawyers she is “not after any money”.

However, one of her relatives claimed it was “obvious” she wanted a share of Sir Jimmy’s £2.5m fortune. He accused cousin Sarah McLaran of calling her a “gold digger”, adding: “If she wasn’t after the money, why didn’t she say anything when he was still alive?”

Her cousin added, “It’s obvious she did it for the money. That’s just the way she is. She’s had some money problems since her divorce a few years ago. Maybe she thought she could make some money from this.”

Georgina’s mother, then 59, told her that her father was Sir Jimmy when she was seven. But she forbade her from contacting him. She followed her mother’s orders until two years ago, after her divorce from her ex-husband. She decided to write a letter to her alleged father to reveal that she was his daughter.

After receiving no response from him, he is said to have decided to confront him at his flat in Leeds. ‘He’s away,’ the elderly DJ is said to have said over the intercom, pretending to be someone else. He then refused to open the door.

After her father’s death, she also went to see Sir Jimmy’s coffin, which was on display in a hotel for three days after his death in October. Her friends claim she almost revealed that she was his daughter but chose not to.

But according to her cousin, this sudden interest in joining her father’s business had only one reason, money.

She also got in touch with her mother’s stepfather, Trevor Gough, after he died – despite never speaking to him while he was alive. “Then when he died, Trevor this, Trevor that. Suddenly she wanted to know all about the will. It was clear what she was after.”

However, tired of all the criticism, she announced that she no longer wanted to be his daughter. She also called the serial sex offender a “monster” and shared that she had given up on trying to prove that she was his daughter. The test, which was conducted in October 2012, proved to be inconclusive.

In July 2012, Savile’s executors agreed to carry out DNA testing on cigars and other items, but they failed to substantiate her claims.

Sir Jimmy then allegedly ‘caveman-style’ carried Christine out of the cafe and took her to his campervan. Their relationship ended after just two weeks. But nine months later, Christine – who now uses her married name Rumford – gave birth to Georgina.

“Christine never really told me the story about Jimmy, but we all knew he was Georgina’s dad,” her cousin Sarah added. “I think Georgina is his dad, the resemblance is incredible. Her eyes, her nose, her smile – everything. It was obvious she was Jimmy’s (daughter).”

According to Daily mailChristine Rumford, her mother, also refused to answer the door at her nearby home. A woman at her cabin, who identified herself as one of her sisters, said she was not feeling well and did not want to comment.
