Every year on April 25, Katherine Ballard and Tim Ballard wish each other ‘Happy Wedding Anniversary!’ “Katherine, I love you even more today than I did 21 years ago (and I loved you SO MUCH then ❤️),” Tim wrote on Facebook on the same day in 2021.

It’s not just on special occasions that Tim speaks highly of his beautiful wife. He doesn’t hesitate to tell her how grateful he is to his “Heavenly Father” for her. He regularly tells the world how much they love each other.

Katherine naturally reciprocated the sentiment. Not long ago, a blog post about ourrescue.org Speaking about how she found it easy to support Tim because she loves him, Katherine said it was a relief to know he was doing something meaningful that very few people could and would do. As a result, her belief in Tim boosted his confidence.

A period in Tim and Katherine’s relationship is also shown in The Sound of Freedom. Actor Jim Caviezel plays Katherine’s real-life anti-trafficking activist husband, and Mira Sorvino has been cast as her, in an extended cameo.

As of 2023, Tim Ballard and Katherine Ballard present themselves as the parents of nine children. Two of them (son Colin and daughter Coline) are adopted. They were apparently rescued from human traffickers by Tim while he was conducting a sting operation in Haiti. The nine children range in age from 23 to 6 as of June 2023.

Tim met Colin and Coline, a brother and sister, on a trip to Haiti. And just months after starting the adoption process, Katherine felt inspired to help more children and even founded an organization to do just that.

Alongside this photo, Tim wrote sincerely that he was grateful to have an eternal family, because his children were the light of his world. And just on May 14, 2023, Tim was full of praise for Katherine as an inspiring and wonderful mother to his children.

Their son, Blain Ballard, is a volunteer with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He previously attended Westlake High School in Utah. Back in May 2019, his proud parents were thrilled when he was called to serve a two-year church mission in Quito, Ecuador. “What a blessing to be his dad!!!,” Tim said at the time.

The other son, Daniel, is much younger. He was born while Tim and his wife were fighting to bring their Haitian children home. The adoption process took more than three years.

The remaining children we know about are two daughters, Anne and Della.

Together, they have worked with children who have been trafficked or are at risk of being trafficked and helped place them with families who want to adopt them.

So far, Katherine’s foundation has supported 140 families, awarded 145 grants, and partnered with seven agencies. She states on her website that a total of 223 children have gone home or are in the process of going home thanks to CNF’s donors, volunteers, and partners.
