Meet Al Lozano, Lauren Makk Husband

Al Lozano and Lauren Makk officially started dating on December 2, 2019, after first meeting at a restaurant in Los Angeles. Recalling their first meeting, Lauren shared, “from the first minute we saw each other, we knew there was something about each other.”

It seemed like the couple was the only customers in the restaurant that day, so they got talking, knowing they were both going to Nashville in the coming days, and Al asked her out.

More than three days later, the couple officially tied the knot on February 2, 2022, exactly one year after their engagement.

Speaking about their wedding, Lauren called it “a night of indulgence.” The couple had a 360-degree photo booth, a DJ, and had their first dance as husband and wife to Before I Let Go by Maze. “It was perfect,” she added.

And guess who officiated the ceremony? Their therapists! That’s right, in an intimate ceremony attended by 36 family and friends, Al and Makk were pronounced husband and wife by their therapists, whom they met early in their relationship.

According to Lauren, each of them brought “a lot of baggage.” So from the beginning, they wanted to start a healthy partnership together. Hence, the therapist.

But the therapist who officiated their wedding wasn’t the only thing that strayed from the traditional wedding ceremony. The newlyweds also included their children in the ceremony. They were ring bearers.
