In June 2020, he was accused of raping two female church members at Ikota Villa Estate, Lekki, Lagos. On January 26, 2024, Justice Rahman Oshodi of Lagos Sexual Crimes and Domestic Violence Court issued a verdict, sentencing Bishop Feyi Daniels to life in prison for raping his 23-year-old assistant (unnamed). In addition, he received a three-year prison sentence for sexually assaulting a 19-year-old church member. The judge ruled that the bishop must serve his sentence at the Kirikiri detention facility in Lagos.
Notably, Bishop Feyi was discharged and acquitted of one count of rape involving another (unnamed) church member and of attempted rape of another church member.
Maintaining his innocence, Bishop Feyi Daniels asserted that he had been set up by his enemies. He has taken steps to appeal the sentence and has applied for bail pending the outcome of the appeal.
