In June 2020, he was charged with raping two female members of his church at Ikota Villa Estate, Lekki, Lagos. On January 26, 2024, Justice Rahman Oshodi of Lagos Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court has sentenced Bishop Feyi Daniels to life in prison for raping his 23-year-old assistant (whose name was withheld). He also received a three-year sentence for sexually assaulting a 19-year-old church member. The judge ruled that the bishop must serve his sentence at the Kirikiri detention facility in Lagos.
