The tweets discussed a video that went viral in 2015. The video showed a McKinney, Texas, police officer chasing teenagers at a pool party, wrestling a bikini-clad teenage girl to the ground, pointing a gun at two boys, and performing a barrel roll.

The officer in the video, Eric Casebolt, resigned shortly after the incident. White House officials called his actions “harmful” to police-community relations.

Scott and others involved don’t see it the same way, based on tweets. “Police tell you to comply, you comply!” one person said. “This is normal when people don’t listen to the police.”

Additionally, the account named Scott also contained transphobic comments. One tweet read, “Your whole family is disgusting and I can’t believe he won that award,” referring to Jenner’s Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYS last year. The tweet mispronounced Caitlyn Jenner as he, even though Jenner identifies as a woman.

However, the account has since been deleted along with the tweets.

“Scott Wooldridge would fit right in with the many racists in Ferguson,” wrote Twitter user @DOJSuedFerguson in October 2016.

“Although he was not an officer at the time, the concerns raised by the disclosure of the account are now a personnel matter,” city spokesman Jeff Small wrote. “As this is a personnel matter, the department’s investigation cannot be discussed as a legal matter.”
