Meet Terry Whitfield, Husband of Shea Hicks-Whitfield

Terry Whitfield married the love of his life, Shea Hicks-Whitfield on May 30, 2015.

To celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary, Shea wrote on her IG, “Happy anniversary to the smartest, sweetest, kindest, most thoughtful person I’ve ever met.” The real estate agent then explained that they celebrate their wedding anniversary not only to cherish the day they got married, but also to celebrate every day they feel lucky to be with their best half.

“You are not only my better half, but the best and most wonderful half of my life,” she added.

Likewise, Terry is not slow to express his love for Shea. He has mentioned that his relationship with his wife is “the wind under my wings, the Splenda in my green tea, the sugar-free syrup in my almond flour waffles, my Gatorade Zero after a long run.” He also added that Shea believes in him and encourages him on his path to greatness.

Now, the couple’s love is bringing new life into the world. Holding a tiny one-piece that read “Coming Soon,” the Bargain Block star shared on her IG, “We’re changing our name to Mom & Dad!”

Before that, the couple’s only responsibility was an adorable puppy named Sofia Kambeano Whitfield, aka Sof-The-Loaf. She even has an IG account @sofia_the_shihtzu.

Terry and Shea’s first child is due in August 2022.

Terry Whitfield comes from a family of six.

According to Terry, his father, William J Whitfield (who turned 73 in April 2022), is his hero. “His presence in my life is as great as ever. His voice acts as an AI in my brain, asking important questions that inevitably lead me to the land of ‘Do What You Have to Do,’” Terry explains.

William, who attended Northwestern High School, worked as one of the Distributors at Eastown.

As for Terry’s mother, Rosalyn Whitfield, a baker at Ros’ Pound Cakes & More, turned 69 in April 2022.

Like Terry’s father, Rosalyn had a huge impact on Terry’s life — her unparalleled work ethic and love for her family, Terry inherited them all. “She would tell me every day that our job was to ‘have a life’… it was her shorthand for remembering who we were, and WHO WE ARE, especially when times were tough,” Terry recalls.

Speaking of Terry’s siblings, his sister Catherine Whitfield Martin turned 40 in August 2021. She was living in Chicago, Illinois at the time.

As for his brother, Donald Whitfield lives in Clarksburg, Maryland with his wife Tasha Whitfield. He is a retired military man and later worked at Rydex Investments for a living.
