Following the controversy, Disney Channel fired Stoney from his recurring role on the series Andi Mack, where he played grandfather Henry “Ham” Mack. “Given the nature of the allegations and our responsibility to the welfare of the minors we employ, we have terminated him from his recurring role and he will not return to work on the series,” their official statement read.

In June 2022, six months after being charged with multiple felonies, Stoney was finally sentenced to two years in prison and 10 years of probation.

Stoney reportedly reached a deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of using federal facilities to transmit information about a minor. Part of the deal also states that Stoney must cooperate with DNA collection and register as a sex offender. Additionally, his computer devices (including email and social media) will be subject to random searches and inspections.
