William John Tell learned to play the guitar from his father as a child and began writing his own songs at a very early age. He joined bands Something of the company in 2001 as a backing guitarist, contributing to the band’s success with their EP Audio player and full album Leave through the window And North.

In 2004, Tell decided to pursue a solo career. He signed with New Door Records and released his debut solo album. you can keep me in 2007, which showcased his songwriting and musical talents in addition to his role in Something of the company.
