early life
Both of his grandsons followed in his musical footsteps and went to college. Despite a ten-year age difference, the siblings bonded over music and began working on their debut single in 2014.

Profession
The duo released the single “America” in 2015, which drew comparisons to Lana Del Ray and Lorde. The song gained attention after it was featured in a PacSun commercial starring Kendall and Kylie Jenner. The exposure led to the song gaining over 1.6 million listens on SoundCloud and reaching number one on Hypemachine.
That same year, they also released Afterlife and played their first headlining show in Los Angeles as part of the Oh Wonder Tour. They signed with Sony Music Entertainment. In early 2016, XYLØ announced plans to release their first EP, which would include all of their previously released singles. The America EP was released in February, followed by a US tour to promote the album.
They also released a song titled “Fool’s Paradise” expressing their opposition to Donald Trump. Later, in 2016, they appeared on the single “Setting Fires” from the Chainsmokers’ College EP.
The following year, they released the singles “I Still Wait for You” and “Alive.” In 2018, they released several more singles, including “Heaven Only Knows” and “Tears & Tantrums.” Their catchy track “Nothing Left to Say” arrived in early 2019.
