Early life
Innocent Idibia, also known as 2Baba was born in Jos, Nigeria.
He is an indigene of the Idoma ethnic group in southern Benue state. During his formative years, he attended Mount St. Gabriel in Makurdi, Benue State.
He continued his studies at the Institute of Management & Technology (IMT), Enugu, where he enrolled in a National Certificate course in Business Administration and Management. During his school days, he performed at organized shows and parties.
He later dropped out of school to pursue a music career. It is believed that in 1996 he adopted the stage name 2face (Tuface).
He explained that the reason he chose that name, trying to delineate my personal life from my business life. But in 2016, he officially changed his stage name from Tuface to 2Baba.
Education
2Baba attended Mount St. Gabriel in Makurdi, Benue State.
He continued his studies at the Institute of Management & Technology (IMT), Enugu, where he enrolled in a National Certificate course in Business Administration and Management.
However, he later dropped out of school to focus entirely on his music career.
Career
After he left and Plantashun Boyz disbanded in 2004, all band members sought their own musical careers due to some internal arguments. He then released his debut solo album, Face 2 Face in 2004, which established him as a viable solo artist.
He then released his second album, Grass 2 Grace in 2006. He is the founder of the record label HYPERTEK ENTERTAINMENT.
He was also signed to Kennis Music but left and founded Hypertek Entertainment. He is a member of the Sony All African One Project along with seven other African artists.
2Baba is also an ambassador for several brands including Guinness, Nigerian Breweries and a host of others. In 2019, 2Baba became Oraimo’s first and official brand ambassador.

Personal life
2Baba is married to award-winning Nigerian actress and model, Annie Macaulay-idibia. They married on May 2, 2012 in Lagos, Nigeria in a private ceremony.
They were also held in Dubai, UAE on March 23, 2013 and were well attended by celebrities. They are blessed with two girls, Olivia Idibia and Isabella Idibia.
2Baba has been in relationships with two other women, Sumbo Ajala-Adeoye and Pero Adeniyi. Both later gave birth to his other children. His children are; Isabella Idibia, Nino Idibia, Justin Idibia, Innocent Idibia, Olivia Idibia, Rose Idibia and Zii Idibia.
He has survived near-death events, including gunfire from an armed robbery around Oshodi axis in Lagos.
