50 Cent Claims Jay-Z Tried to Block Him From the Super Bowl Halftime Show, But Eminem’s Ultimatum Secured His Spot

Whether or not 50 Cent will appear at Dr. Dre’s performance at the 2022 Super Bowl remains uncertain, with rumors circulating that Jay-Z’s Roc Nation could be the deciding factor.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, 50 Cent shared his insights into the Super Bowl LVI halftime show experience, which also featured performances by Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige.

During the interview, 50 Cent revealed why his name was not on the list when the line-up for the highly anticipated show was first announced.

“[Roc Nation] “They want me out of this. They don’t want me there,” 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, claimed.

Eminem, who first discovered 50 Cent and supported him in the release of his hugely successful debut album “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” in 2003, is said to have objected and given the record label an ultimatum, he said.

“Eminem wouldn’t have been able to do it without me,” 50 Cent declared.

“That’s how I got on the show because he wouldn’t have come if I hadn’t. When that happens, you’re like, ‘Fuck, so you just lost Eminem because you didn’t bring 50 people? Fuck. Okay. Then bring 50 people,'” the rapper shared with the publication.

“But if they decide, they won’t leave me there. I’m the surprise. I’m not on the list. But they can’t let Em do it without me,” he added.

The “In da Club” hitmaker and Jay-Z have been at odds for some time now. Meanwhile, 50 Cent and Eminem have always had mutual respect for each other, and their relationship continues to grow with the announcement of a new project.

“50 has proven time and time again that there really is nothing he can’t do and no one can stop him from doing it,” he added.
