Early life and education
Adam Saleh was born on June 4, 1993, in Brooklyn, New York City, United States, to Yemeni parents. His father, Mohsin Saleh, is a businessman, while his mother, Judy Saleh, is a housewife. He has an older brother named Abe Kickz.
He attended Manhattan High School of Science and Mathematics for three years before being expelled for hacking into the principal’s computer in protest of him making racist comments about his mother.
Adam Saleh’s primary career goal was to become a lawyer. A few days before his cousin’s wedding, his uncle died in a car accident. He described his uncle as a very happy person, an important member of the family, and his death in such circumstances devastated his family.
Adam Saleh has previously said that his uncle’s death left an emotional scar, which is one of the reasons he doesn’t have a driver’s license.
Personal life
Adam Saleh claims he was kicked off a Delta Air Lines flight at Heathrow Airport in December 2016 for speaking Arabic. However, other passengers complained that he was disturbing other passengers, and Delta’s statement said he was yelling and provoking others.
Adam Saleh’s manager also made the same statement, explaining that he was not suing the airline. His comments sparked a debate about “Right to Fly”.
Adam Saleh cut ties with his manager, Naz Rahman, in 2021, accusing him of diverting profits from his music. Naz Rahman responded with a three-hour film in which he claimed he raped a girl, as well as using drugs, drinking alcohol and lying to his audience that he was a devout Muslim. An unnamed woman claimed Adam Saleh raped her. He did not deny the allegations.
In June 2021, a transgender sex worker claimed, backed by video evidence, that Adam Saleh had urged her to engage in sex acts in Miami, sparking outrage among her followers. Adam Saleh’s lawyer subsequently threatened her.
Adam Saleh does not have a wife, girlfriend or lover as he publicly announced in the media.
Career
Adam Saleh started making YouTube videos in 2012 with some of his high school friends, Abdullah Ghuman, and Sheikh Akbar’s YouTube channel, TrueStoryASA. His primary career goal was to become a lawyer. After appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he gained national attention for his dancing antics.

He had his final exam the day before appearing on Ellen DeGeneres but chose to appear on Ellen DeGeneres instead; Adam Saleh later considered this a turning point in his career as a full-time YouTuber. As part of TrueStoryASA, he released the single Diamond Girl on May 3, 2015, alongside Sheikh Akbar and Mumzy Stranger.
In homage to his cousin and uncle, Adam Saleh released his debut single Tears, featuring Zack Knight, on August 16, 2015. After TrueStoryASA ended, he changed the name of his main channel and vlog channel to Adam Saleh and Adam Saleh Vlogs.
There is some disagreement as to why the factions split. Speculation has it that the issue lies between Adam Saleh and Sheikh Akbar, with many of his followers blaming his handler for the split.
Adam Saleh’s debut album, Chapter II, was released in September 2017 and features collaborations with a number of artists, including Waynak (featuring Faydee), Tsunami, All About Love, The Motto (featuring Kennyon Brown) and All You Can Handle (featuring Demarco).
