People started talking about making a game for AEW in October 2019. They officially said it will be produced in November 2020. This game is special because it’s the first wrestling game Yuke has made since working on WWE 2K19 in 2018. They have since stopped working with WWE. The style of AEW Fight Forever is very similar to older wrestling games, especially the Nintendo 64 version of WWF No Mercy. The gameplay is arcade-like, with zany wrestlers and a different presentation, unlike the more realistic wrestling games Yuke has made before.
They released the game on June 29, 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. People have different opinions about this game. Some people like its old-school arcade style, but others don’t like that it doesn’t have many modes and ways to customize it.
