ISLAMABAD: Famous Pakistani actor Ahad Raza Mir, who was heavily criticized for doing a bold scene in the Hollywood series ‘Resident Evil’, said that while working on international projects, some Their request cannot be refused.
In the Netflix series, Ahad Raza Mir plays the character Arjun Batra, a researcher at the University of Madrid, where he meets his colleague Jade Wesker. Ahad’s daring scenes with his female co-stars angered public opinion in his hometown.
Speaking on a recent podcast, Ahad discussed the context behind the Netflix project, admitting that he anticipated a strong public reaction.

“It was a difficult experience because I knew people would criticize it,” he admits. However, he highlighted double standards in the industry, pointing out that scenes depicting violence, slapping and abuse in local dramas are widely accepted without backlash.
He added: “People only seem to have problems when we show love or intimacy on screen. Pakistani audiences who watch Bollywood and Hollywood films do not hesitate to criticize their own artists.”
Ahad further explains that working on international projects, especially in places like the UK, often comes with demands for creativity that cannot always be turned down.
The actor, son of veteran Asif Raza Mir, is all set to return to Pakistani dramas with the upcoming film “M Se Mohabbat”.
