Early life and education
Ana Nikolić was born on September 27, 1978 in Jagodina, SR Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia. She was raised by her parents, Milijana Nikolić and Dušan Nikolić. Ana has an older brother, Marko Nikolić, who served as her manager.
After completing grammar school, she moved to Belgrade, where she attended the polytechnic school to study design. It is also reported that she studied music at the Academy of Arts in Berlin. Ana is ethnically Serbian, but her religious beliefs are unknown.
Career
Ana Nikolić began her career in 1998 with her television debut on 3K Dur, performing “Kolačići” by Denis & Denis. She gained national recognition in April 2003 when she participated in Beovizija, Serbia’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, with her song. “January.”
Later that year, under the stage name Nika, she released her debut album through City Records, marking the beginning of her collaborations with famous musicians Marina Tucković and Aleksandar Milić Mili.
In 2006, Nikolić returned to Beovizija with the hit “Romale, Romali,” became one of her signature songs. That same year, she released her second album, Devojka od čokoladeand embarked on his first regional tour.
