Ann Wilson Diagnosed With Cancer, Cancels Remaining Royal Flush Tour Dates

Sharing on Instagram, Heart singer Ann Wilson announced that she has been diagnosed with an unspecified cancer.

“I recently had surgery to remove what turned out to be cancer. The surgery was successful and I am feeling better but the doctors are now recommending I undergo a course of chemoprophylaxis and I have decided to do it,” Wilson said in a statement.

According to the “Barracuda” singer, her medical team has asked her to “take a break from the stage for the rest of the year to fully recover.”

Wilson then gave a speech to fans who had purchased tickets for the upcoming Royal Flush tour.

“To those who bought tickets, I really hope we can do these shows. Please know that I will definitely be back on stage in 2025. My team is working on those details and we will let you know the plan as soon as possible. Thank you all for your support. This is just a pause. I have so much more to sing,” she added.

Wilson’s announcement comes after Heart cancelled concerts in Europe. The shows were cancelled because Wilson had to undergo a “routine but time-sensitive medical procedure” that required a minimum recovery period of six weeks.

“I’m fine. Please don’t worry. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” Wilson promised. “It’s certainly inconvenient for me. Love and respect always, Ann.”
