Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua OBE (born 15 October 1989), commonly known as Anthony Joshua, is a famous British professional boxer. He holds the title of undisputed heavyweight champion.

Early Life & Education

Robert Joshua and Yeta Odusanya welcomed Anthony Joshua to the world on October 15, 1989, in Watford, Hertfordshire. He spent most of his adult years in his native Nigeria. When his parents split up at the age of 5, his mother decided to move back. His parents are Nigerian.

To study at Kings Langley High School, he returned to Watford. Because his middle name is Oluwafemi, his friends and teachers gave him the nickname Femi. He has three siblings: Jacob Joshua, Janet Joshua and Loretta Joshua.

Growing up, Anthony Joshua was a standout player in soccer and athletics. He also showed great promise as a sprinter when he broke the 100 meter record by running the distance in 11.6 seconds. Before starting his boxing career, he was a bricklayer.
