Early life
Ashley ShahAhmadi was born on June 23, 1992 in the United States. The Iranian father immigrated at the age of 14, born and raised in America.
He later married Saint Cloud, Minnesota native Cheryl Rebeshke, Ashley’s mother. Ashley spent her formative years in Atlanta, Georgia, with her two brothers, Aryon and Brandon.
She always wanted to be a sideline reporter for the NBA. She attended Marrieta Kell High School because basketball was her hobby there, where she honed her shot-blocking abilities.
Becoming the team’s second-leading scorer and contributing 50% of the team’s points was her favorite high school basketball moment.
When Ashley was in seventh grade, her mother took her to an Atlanta Hawks game, where she saw a well-dressed woman with a microphone in hand chatting with the Hawks head coach courtside.

She moved to Meridian, Mississippi in 2014 after earning her degree from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), where she began her broadcasting career doing 6 and 10 a.m. sports updates and news reporting. about college teams at Alabama, Mississippi State, Ole Miss. and Miss Southern.
2016 Ashley moved to Jackson to work as a weekend sports anchor for WAPT-TV. In 2018, she agreed to work in Atlanta as a Social Media Content Producer/Host for Fox Sports South/Southeast.
Afterwards, Ashley ShahAhmadi worked as the play-by-play announcer for the Charlotte Hornets. Soon after, Ashley was able to present Hornets Live’s pre- and post-game shows and became a full-time sideline reporter.
