early life
Cindy Sanyu belongs to the Munyoro/Itesot tribe and was born on August 28, 1985 in the Bale District near Kampala, Uganda.
Cindy Sanyu is the fifth of eight children whose parents attended military academies and spent her childhood mainly at the Ntinda military camp.

Cindy Sanyo attended primary and secondary school in Kampala. She obtained her High School Certificate from Ngora High School.
Profession
Chosen for music at the young age of six, Cindy Sanyu turned it into her passion, devoted herself to it and has now become one of the renowned singers in Uganda.
Cindy has participated in a number of talent shows, including the Capital Radio All Stars talent show, where she came in third at the age of 16.
As part of Blu*3, they won the Best Ugandan Group and Best Music Video awards at the Kisima Music Awards in 2003. Other awards the group has won include Video of the Year at the 2005 Pearl of Africa Music Awards and Video of the Year at the 2007 Pearl of Africa Music Awards.

In 2008, Cindy Sanyu went solo due to personal reasons. In 2009, she released her first solo album “Ayokyayokya” as a solo singer, announcing the disbandment of the band.
Cindy Sanyu’s acting career was boosted by her role in the movie Bella, which was nominated for several awards and got her nominated for some of the best awards in Uganda.

Rumor has it that famous Ugandan singer Cindy Sanyu was in a relationship with Ken Muyisa and later she had a daughter named Amani Brunetti with Mario Brunetti.
In 2020, Cindy Sanyu shocked the media world with the news that she and Joel Okuyo Prynce were engaged and about to get married.
