Early life
Collins Letsoalo was born in the village of Ga-Molepo in the Limpopo province of South Africa.
He completed his primary and post-primary education in the town before continuing his education at various schools in the city.

Career
Collins Letsoalo began his career at the South African Reserve Bank, holding various roles before joining Government through the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), where he was involved in the restructuring of State-owned enterprises.
He then worked at Vunani Real Estate Investment Fund with Hyprop to build a divested real estate investment vehicle.
Collins Letsoalo then returned to public service as Deputy Director General (DDG): Financial Services at the Department of Transport (DoT), South Africa.
He was deployed and spent three and a half years at South Africa’s Road Transport Management Corporation (RTMC) to assist in the development of this segment.
With his extensive financial knowledge, Collins Letsoalo rejoined the DoT after achieving two consecutive unqualified audits and took RTMC from a technically insolvent position to a sound financial position.
In July 2016, Collins Letsoalo was appointed to the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) as interim Group Chief Executive Officer, tasked with developing and implementing the operational recovery strategy and corporate and financial governance. He returned to his position as CFO of the Department of Transport in March 2017.

Collins Letsoalo was recently transferred to the South African Cross Border Road Transport Agency (C-BRTA) and is now appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of C-BRTA.
