Diablo 3 gameplay

Diablo III is an action-packed isometric action role-playing game that follows in the footsteps of its predecessors, Diablo and Diablo II. Players must assume the role of a hero and save the world of Sanctuary from the forces of Hell. Like traditional role-playing games, players can choose a character class, level up, and acquire equipment to enhance their powers. The quality and attributes of gear are randomized, with higher quality items providing additional bonuses such as increased damage, stat boosts, or extra gem slots. Magic, rare, and legendary items are increasingly more random and have more properties, and set items provide additional bonuses if multiple pieces are equipped. Higher level monsters tend to drop better gear with higher stats and bonuses.

The game uses a custom 3D engine with destructible environments and in-game physics. Multiplayer is available through Blizzard’s Battle.net service, and players can join or leave co-op sessions. Diablo III also features an enhanced quest system, a randomized level and encounter generator, and health orbs dropped from enemies to replace the need for a potion bar. Skill Runes are a new feature that modify skills as players level up, providing options to enhance and change gameplay. Players can assign skills to quickbar buttons, and the mouse buttons are still used for specific attacks. Due to DRM policies, Diablo III requires a constant internet connection, even for single-player play.

Diablo 3 plot

The events of the game take place in Sanctuary, a dark fantasy world twenty years after the story of “Diablo II”. Deckard Cain and his guardian Leah are investigating a prophecy in Tristram Cathedral when a mysterious star falls from the sky, creating a crater that causes Cain to disappear. The player character, the Nephalem, arrives in New Tristram to investigate and help rescue Cain, and discovers that they must defeat Skeletor in order to gain access to the Fallen Star. Along the way, they meet a variety of characters and battle demons who serve the Lord of Hell.

The Nephalem and their allies eventually reached the city of Chaldeum, where they tracked down and defeated Magda, the servant of Belial, the Lord of Lies. They also rescued Leah’s mother, Adria, and traveled to Bastion Keep to confront Azmodan’s forces. After defeating Azmodan, they discovered that Adria had been serving Diablo and used the Black Soul Stone to resurrect him. Diavolo became the source of evil and attacked the High Heavens.

The Nephalem and Tyrael arrive at High Heaven to find that it is under attack. They encounter various protoss, including Aurel and Isreal, who guide them in their quest to close the Rift in Hell and prevent Diavolo from reaching the Crystal Arch. Despite opposition from Imperius and Izul, they eventually defeated Diablo and his physical body was destroyed. Tyrael decided to become the Keeper of Wisdom, dedicated to uniting angels and humans. At the end of the game, the Black Soul Stone falls from the High Heavens, still intact.
