Following the raid on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ jail cell, the fallen kingpin’s legal team requested a new hearing to learn more about the search and seizure.

According to USA Today on November 19, Combs’ lawyers considered the raid an “outrageous act by the government” and the documents and notes taken from his cell were now in hands of prosecutors.

The notes were said to be files referring to defense witnesses and defense strategies. Prosecutors also mentioned that the latest bail requested by Combs should be denied by the court due to allegations of influencing the jury pool through social media campaigns.

Bureau of Prisons investigators also found notes during a review. These records were also mentioned by prosecutors, alleging that Combs paid witnesses to assist him through the Instagram post.

Marc Agnifilo, Combs’ attorney, claimed that the search and seizure took place in violation of the tycoon’s attorney-client rights. Furthermore, Justice Arun Subramanian has been selected to oversee the newly requested hearing.

However, according to TMZ, prosecutors have denied having Combs’ “legal” folder in his cell and no material was seized.

On November 18, it was reported that Combs attempted to escape legal punishment by influencing witness testimony. Combs allegedly instructed his family members to tamper with and influence the views of witnesses.

To carry out this plan, Combs used the cell phones of “eight other inmates” in the prison. The Southern District of New York Attorney’s Office also released a 30-page report outlining Combs’s alleged efforts to extort victims and witnesses who could potentially present strong evidence against back to him.
