Diddy’s sons’ legal battle over Kim Porter’s tell-all intensifies as details emerge of 50 daily calls

Quincy Brown and Christian Combs, sons of Sean “Diddy” Combs and the late Kim Porter, have taken a stand by issuing a cease-and-desist order to prevent the sale of a controversial book that delves into their mother’s life.

The brothers didn’t back down as they warned Courtney Burgess and his legal representative, Ariel Mitchell, of potential legal consequences related to the book titled “Kim Porter Tell It All” (“Kim Porter Tell It All” for short). as “Tell It All”) which Burgess distributed under the alias Jamal Millwood.

A legal document recently acquired by TMZ revealed that Brown and Combs are claiming ownership of Porter’s intellectual property rights after her death in November 2018. They argue that any diary entries mentioned in the book belong to them, not Burgess, as stated in the records.

Brown and Combs draw attention to Burgess’s multiple interviews in which he claimed to possess the “original unedited” version of Porter’s diary and a flash drive obtained from individuals in Porter’s inner circle.

However, Burgess asserted that he published the book without making any changes. The sons dispute the veracity of the flash drive story, claiming it is fraudulent and inaccurate. They claimed that if a flash drive was actually used it should have been in their possession and not Burgess’s.

In response to the brothers’ cease-and-desist letter, Burgess and his attorney did not hesitate to respond sharply, according to TMZ. Challenging accusations of trying to profit from Porter’s established reputation, Burgess and Mitchell argued that selling the book was not taking advantage of her hard-earned reputation.

They continued that Porter’s recognition was due more to her role as Diddy’s long-term partner than to her involvement in the entertainment industry.

According to Burgess, he is the copyright owner of the book, stating that Portner granted him the rights before her death.

Mitchell revealed that Porter and Burgess were introduced by an acquaintance who used to work as a music producer. Through this connection, the late model mentioned to Burgess over the phone that she planned to share a copy of her diary with him before officially sending it to him.

This gesture eventually led to Burgess acquiring the rights to the document.

This comes amid a re-enacted interview with Essence, where Porter revealed Diddy called her 50 to 60 times a day, adding a new layer of complexity to an already tumultuous relationship their.

At the time, Porter expressed his belief that their romance lacked depth and was only superficial. “The world only sees bright lights and cameras. But I know what’s really going on (about Lopez and Diddy’s relationship).”

“He still loves me,” she confessed.

Porter added, “No one knows that part… He calls fifty, sixty times a day. Sometimes I don’t even talk to him because I’m so angry. I can’t be ‘Kim nice.’ . You know, I have to be like, this is not going down.”

After learning that her ex-lover was dating someone else, the late actress said she acknowledged the pain it brought her but remained resilient for her children.

She revealed: “Everywhere I go, people ask, ‘Are you okay?’ “I hate it. People believe everything they see in the paper and they talk to me like I’m really crushed.”
