Dolly Parton reportedly wants Billy Ray Cyrus to apologize to those he hurt and address his issues after a lengthy speech was leaked in which he expressed his displeasure with his two ex-wives Firerose and Tish Cyrus.

Amid the controversy surrounding her father’s marriage to Firerose, Miley Cyrus boldly decided to boycott their October 2023 wedding and cut ties with her father.

However, tensions escalated significantly last month following the leak of audio and text messages in which Billy Ray allegedly belittled Tish and Miley, leading to a deeper rift within the family.

An insider told the outlet that Billy Ray received an ultimatum from Parton – Miley’s godmother – because his relationship with Miley had become “toxic.”

The “Flowers” singer has reportedly said she never wants to see her father again, causing a heartbreaking split among family members.

“Dolly is heartbroken to see the Cyrus family so at odds, she loves them all. She knows about the horrible things he’s said and it’s shocking and obvious to her and everyone else in Billy Ray’s world that he needs to take responsibility and stop pointing fingers and blaming those around him for his problems,” the source said.

“Many people are deeply concerned about the toxicity of this, especially Dolly, Miley’s godmother,” they added.

Parton has been close friends with Billy Ray for decades. However, the source explains that if he doesn’t seek help, she may also cut ties with him permanently.

“Anger management seems to be the first step but first apologizing to those he has offended. Billy Ray has a lot of work to do if he wants to see Dolly again soon, if at all,” the insider said.

In the leaked recording, the 62-year-old singer of the hit “Achy Breaky Heart” called Firerose an “idiot” and a “selfish bitch”.

Billy Way also criticized his other ex-wife, Tish, from whom he separated in 2022 after more than 28 years of marriage.

In the leaked recording, the singer is said to have said that Tish’s two eldest children, Brandi and Trace – who were adopted by Billy Ray – were not his biological children and claimed “she was impregnated by two different men”.

Referring to Tish, Billy Ray added, “Everybody knows the devil’s a whore.”

In May, just seven months after their wedding, Billy Ray filed for divorce from Firerose. The Australian singer then made domestic violence allegations against him.

During their divorce trial, a judge determined that Firerose had no valid basis to demand access to the singer’s finances, credit cards, and valuable assets. The decision came after Billy Ray accused her of using $96,000 of his money during the divorce.

As for the leaked recordings, Billy Ray’s attorney claims Firerose secretly released them to damage his career, according to Page Six.

“[Firerose] was the one who recorded him without telling Mr. Cyrus that she was recording him,” his attorney alleged.

“Of course, she was deliberately on her best behavior because she knew the recording was being made,” the lawyer asserted.
