Sexyy Red has chosen a side in the upcoming presidential election.

Taking to her Twitter account on November 1, the rapper shared that she decided to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris after previously supporting Donald Trump.

“I just voted!!! Don’t tell us what to do with our shit!! #Kamala4President,” she captioned her post.

On June 3, Sexyy Red responded to the backlash surrounding her display of patriotism at the 2024 Roots Outing, where she performed the previous day. During her performance, sexyy incorporated a remix of Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan into her set and included a life-sized hat that read “Make America sexyy Again.”

However, after backlash for doing so, she withdrew her apparent support for Trump.

“That’s the President of Sexyy Red 4. I’m my own candidate. I won’t support anyone,” she said via Vibe.

Previously, she had spoken highly of Trump. In an interview with According to Von Podcastshe shared that she supports Trump.

“I like Trump. Yes, they support him from the bottom of their hearts. At first, I don’t think people despise him. They think he’s racist, says bad things to women. But once he started becoming black.” people get out of jail and give people free money,” she said.

Sexyy’s change of heart comes as a wave of other stars came out to support Harris and her bid for the White House.
