Early life
Ejay Stephanie was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Avbenagha on January 22 in the mid-90s. She hails from the South South region and hails from Delta State (nicknamed The Big Heart). She was born and raised in Edo state. She spent her formative years residing in Benin City, the capital of Edo State.
Ejay Stephanie is her nickname, derived from her first and middle names. Her parents named her Ejovwokeoghene Stephanie Avbenagha. She comes from a large family and has eight siblings. She was fortunate to have four sisters and four brothers, whom she adored.

Career
Ejay Stephanie aspired to become a Lawyer from an early age. Since her middle school days, she dreamed of becoming a certified lawyer and worked towards her goal of getting good grades in college. After passing the Nigerian Law School, she was called to the Nigerian bar and qualified to practice law.
She practiced Law for several years in Nigeria before immigrating to the United States. She settled in California and decided to venture into business. Over the years, she has founded and managed successful small and medium-sized businesses in the United States.
Ejay Stephanie is also an accomplished musician. By the time she was accepted into the university, she had decided to switch to mainstream music and stop composing gospel songs. Instead, she focused on creating Afrobeats music. As a college student, she wrote many Afrobeats songs. Some songs were lucky enough to make it into the studio and were released to cater to Ejay Stephanie’s small fan base. Over time, she honed her singing and songwriting skills. She trained herself to become a better Afrobeats artist and create her distinct sound. She released a Nigerian-themed song, Pray 4 Naija, in 2019.
In July 2022, Ejay Stephanie released the single Strong. The song is her biggest single to date and has increased her popularity in the Nigerian music scene. Strong has amassed thousands of streams over the months, establishing herself as one of Afrobeats’ rising female stars to watch out for.
