Early life
E-Money’s wealth began with the acquisition of a $2 million contract. However, the slum boy had to pay his dues as he grew up.
Originally named Emeka Okonkwo on February 18, 1981, E-Money was raised alongside his brother; also known as the Limpopo master, Kcee (Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo).
He grew up in the rough neighborhood of Ajegunle in Lagos state. His father, a famous disc jockey in the slums, worked tirelessly with his mother to provide daily meals for the boys.
According to the Nigerian business mogul, his father never wanted him or Kcee to venture into the music industry, claiming that the industry was not profitable, except for those with enough resources.
