early life
Fasamelodies is a music group consisting of two Nigerian-born artists, Ayomide Sevven and Finnest Abiodun.
Ayomide Sevven is the stage name of Ayodeji Samuel Oluwatosin. Ayomide Sevven is a Yoruba from Osun State. But he was born and raised in the South-South region. His formative years were spent in Benin City, Edo State.
Ayomide Sevven is a member of the family of Mr. Bayo Oluwatosin and Mrs. Titilayo Oluwatosin. Ayomide Sevven has a sibling named Mrs. Ibukun Oluwatosin.
On the other hand, Finest Abiodun’s full name is Awodumiye Abiodun. He is an indigene of Ondo State in the Southwest region. He was born in Ilaramokin and spent his early years in the town before moving to Benin City.
Finnest Abiodun’s parents are Mr. Oluwadare Awodumiye and Mrs. Florence Awodumiye. The Awodumiyes came from a middle-class family who met their son’s basic needs and raised him in Christianity.

Ayomide Sevven completed his primary and secondary education in top public schools in Edo State. He graduated from Edokpolo Grammar School with distinction in the SSCE examination. He then continued his studies by enrolling at the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, majoring in Public Administration. After two years of study, he obtained his National Diploma (ND) from the institute.
Finnest Abiodun completed his primary, secondary and high school education in top public schools. After completing his O’Levels, he took up furniture full time, acquiring extensive knowledge of the craft by assisting his uncle, who was a director of his furniture company.

Both artists developed a love for music at a young age. Influenced by music from Nigeria and other parts of Africa, the duo Fasamelodies were inspired by music and chose African music as their area of focus.
The two’s journey to music stardom began with imitating famous singers and singing their songs. In middle school, they were known for their covers of popular songs. They would always thrill their classmates by singing covers of their favorite singers’ songs.
After a period of activity, they further explored their potential and began to write their own songs and release original content. This milestone began to take shape between 2008 and 2009. Inspired by the joy of writing original songs, they each went to the studio to record some songs and then released them in the local community.
From then on, they started their respective music careers. Ayodeji took the stage name Ayomide Sevven while Abiodun chose the stage name Finnest Abiodun.
Over the years, the two have pursued solo careers, creating music and perfecting their own sounds in the process. They have risen to fame in the underground music scene with the songs they have released. Together, they released their first single, “More Love”, which performed quite well in the market. The song was released under the stage name “Ayomide”.
However, in 2020, they got the big breakthrough they were waiting for. This breakthrough came after they decided to release their debut album.
After signing a distribution deal with Ghettosound Entertainment International, the two released solo EPs in 2020. Ayomide’s project is titled Hustle, while Abiodun named his project No Be Lie.
As they had hoped, these projects performed very well in the market, gaining new fans as people kept listening to their songs and resonating with them. During this time, they decided to rebrand from Ayomide to Fasamelodies. This became the new name of the band.
