Firerose Exposes Billy Ray Cyrus’ Scary Treatment and Strict Rules During Their Marriage: Report

Firerose gave an exclusive interview to Page Six and detailed the treatment she endured at the hands of Billy Ray Cyrus.

According to the Australian singer, Cyrus kicked him out of their marital home on the same day she was scheduled to have a double mastectomy. Firerose was diagnosed with the BRCA1 gene, which increases her risk of breast cancer.

The singer revealed Cyrus “constantly screamed” at her, making her feel like a “prisoner” at their Nashville ranch.

“Billy has very strict rules,” Firerose revealed. “I don’t have a car. I’m only allowed to see the local chiropractor and allowed to get my nails done once a month… it’s systematic isolation and I don’t have the courage to leave.”

Explaining the isolation she felt, Firerose also revealed that family and friends were forbidden from visiting her.

“If I have to send a text, I have to read it out loud to him to get permission. Same with emails,” Firerose alleged.

Besides the miserable environment, Firerose also shared that Cyrus was even silent on her for hours, which could last for days. At one point, she even fainted and was taken to the hospital a few days before their October 2022 wedding.

“I backed off…I was afraid to talk,” she said of Cryus’ treatment of her. In the interview, Firerose recalled her estranged husband’s promise: “One day, we will have a love story that is bigger than anyone could ever imagine.”

Cyrus quietly filed for divorce on May 22, 2024. According to court documents obtained by People, Cyrus listed “irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital behavior” as the reasons for their divorce. He also requested an annulment on the grounds of fraud.

However, the couple later issued conflicting statements, with Firerose claiming that she had been subjected to domestic abuse by Cyrus, while the other made similar allegations against the other.

According to the complaint obtained by People, Firerose accused Cyrus of substance abuse that made him “unpredictable and erratic.”

In the filing, obtained by Page Six, Cyrus alleges that he was “not only verbally and mentally abused” by Firerose, but also “physically abused,” while “vehemently” denying allegations that he abused his wife.
