Elisabeth Maxwell and Robert Maxwell welcomed Ghislaine Maxwell to the world on December 25, 1961, at Maisons-Laffitte, France. She has eight siblings: Christine Maxwell, Ian Maxwell, Kevin Maxwell, Isabel Maxwell, Michael Maxwell, Philip Maxwell, Karine Maxwell and Ann Maxwell, with whom she grew up.
