Gucci Mane is defended by his wife after fans blame him for Rapper Enchanting’s death

Gucci Mane shared the sad news about the death of his former protégé, rapper Enchanting, who was only 26 years old at the time.

Enchanting, born Channing Nicole Larry, was formerly on Gucci’s 1017 Records label.

He said in a statement on Instagram, “So sad to say RIP to such an amazing young lady, a true star, we all miss you Chant @luvchanchaning.”

Although it was a sincere gesture, the comment section was filled with fans arguing disrespectfully.

The focus of their argument revolves around the fact that artists signed by Gucci often encounter unfortunate fates such as death or detention.

Over the past few years, several 1017 Records artists, both current and former, have gotten into legal trouble and ended up in jail.

One person commented: “Give them a better life? Half of them are locked up or dead.”

A second person said, “Even if they have nothing to do with it it’s not a secret ALL labels pay them with life insurance policies and they prey on at-risk artists Cao is currently involved in drug dealing, oil drilling and gang activity.”

However, Keyshia Ka’oir, Gucci’s wife, quickly addressed inappropriate comments from fans that made her uncomfortable.

According to The Shade Room, she responded decisively to these disrespectful comments in a comment in which she did not mince words.

“Leave my husband alone! He signs these artists to help them and give them a better life! I wish it wasn’t like this! We love you, baby girl ah!

In just a short time, this comment attracted thousands of likes, showing widespread agreement from fans.

One commenter said: “All this blaming Gucci for getting people addicted to drugs is out of control.”

The second person said: “I agree, you can’t blame the trademark owner for an individual’s actions or decisions. Can you blame the owner for your decisions?”

A third person wrote, “Her death from an overdose has nothing to do with Gucci. She’s right, please respect all of you and move on. Slander about Gucci is unnecessary. “

On Tuesday morning, June 11, Enchanting’s sister shared that she had been admitted to the intensive care unit. She later provided an update confirming the rapper’s death.

Joining the Gucci Mane label in 2020, Enchanting’s musical journey took an unexpected turn. While said to still be affiliated with 1017 in early 2024, her latest release under the label is an enhanced version of her 2022 album. No, Luv, aptly named Luv Has Scars/ No Luv (Deluxe), released in February 2023, according to The Daily Mail.
