Miley Cyrus is feeling the generation gap between her and boyfriend Maxx Morando.
The music superstar shared that the two of them were raised completely differently and that made them look at life in different ways.
In an interview with Harper’s Market, The music superstar shared that she and Morando “look at life really differently” because they are from two different generations even though they are only six years apart. Morando is 26 years old this year and Cyrus is 31 years old and will turn 32 years old on November 23.
“He looks at life really differently than I do,” she said.
“He grew up with a laptop. I have a desktop computer that I share with my siblings. … Honestly, he raised our dog off Reddit. I said, Are you sure we have to do this? And he said, On Reddit it says blah, blah, blah,” Cyrus continued.
The singer mostly kept her love story with Morando a secret. The two have been dating since December 2021.
While there may be differences between them, Cyrus also shared that they also have a lot of similarities.
“He’s a lot like me. We don’t take life too seriously,” she told the outlet.
They also share a love of music. Morando was the producer who worked on Cyrus’ song “Handstand” from her Endless summer vacation album and he plays in the band Lily. Because of him, Cyrus says she has “the coolest kid in Brooklyn music” on her phone.
The couple also likes to listen to “a song that we think is a little creepy, but we love it,” such as the early 2000s hit “Drops of Jupiter.”
The outlet went on to reveal that the pair have been working on new music together and that he has produced several songs on her upcoming album, There is something beautiful.
Cyrus said of their work together: “I’ve worked with my dad forever. That’s how my ex-husband and I met. I’ve always worked with people that I love. And Maxx has inspired me so many”.
The singer shared that her new album is a visual album and was inspired by Pink Floyd. Wall.
“Hypnotic and seductive. It’s a concept album that attempts to cure some of the sick culture through music. My idea was to create ‘The Wall,’ but with a nicer wardrobe, sexier and filled with pop culture,” Cyrus said of the project.
The project is expected to be released around 2025.
