Liam Payne funeral: Former One Direction member pays final respects

AMERSHAM: British singer Liam Payne’s funeral was held on Wednesday, attracting many celebrities, family and friends, including former One Direction members.

Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson were all in attendance. Payne’s ex-partner and “Girls Aloud” alum, Cheryl, was also present at the funeral of the couple’s son Bear.

Other mourners included Girls Aloud members Nicola Roberts and Kimberly Walsh, along with Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy.

The ceremony took place in Amersham, located in Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom (UK).

Payne was found dead after falling from a hotel room balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 16. He was 31 years old at the time of his death.

Argentina’s local prosecutors immediately opened an investigation, and so far three people have been charged in connection with the singer’s death.

During the funeral, a horse-drawn carriage carried Payne’s coffin. Flowers decorated the coffin, with the words “son” and “father” written on it.

Liam Payne’s funeral was the first time in nearly eight years that all former One Direction members reunited since the band broke up in 2016.

Payne is survived by his parents, two sisters and a son.

Fans of the singer also left tributes to Payne in various locations, including flowers and messages.
