‘I don’t know enough about politics’

Jelly Roll is quietly declaring that he is a supporter of Donald Trump.

In the latest podcast episode of his wife Bunnie XO Dumb blonde, the duo explained that it was an “honor” to meet Trump regardless of their political affiliation when they attended a UFC fight at New York City’s Madison Square Garden in November.

“We learned that the presidency is the highest honor in the world,” Bunnie said. When you meet a president, it’s a damn honor, so it doesn’t matter whether you like them or not.”

Jelly then agreed with his wife’s words.

“Dude, there’s no way I’m not going to see the president-elect. I don’t care — if I get a call to meet with Joe Biden, I’ll stop by any minute and see him,” he said.

“That’s a positive president. I don’t care what he thinks or I think about policies. I don’t hide behind the saying ‘I’m not political’. I’m not political! People really know me all know me I’m also one of those old school friends I like to talk about things I’m passionate about. With that said, I don’t know enough about politics to act like I know anything is happening or. what people support in terms of policy,” Jelly added.

The singer went on to reveal that he did not grow up in “voting culture” and that his parents did not pressure him to vote in past elections.

“I didn’t grow up in a voting culture. My father didn’t push me to vote, my mom didn’t push me to vote. However, they did push for respect for the president,” he shared.

As for the meeting itself, Jelly said it was more comfortable than people thought, with Trump telling him he loved the song “Save Me” and that the star was “doing incredible things.”

Elsewhere on the podcast, Jelly shared that he won’t have a phone in 2025 because it makes him “overwhelmed.”

“I got to the point where I was getting hundreds of text messages a day,” he told his wife. And I was really overwhelmed.” “And when I finally sat down to review them, I would feel terrible for missing them. I carried a lot of guilt. This phone made me so guilty.”

To the point that having a phone made him feel so guilty that he threw it into the Cumberland River. Now, Jelly is looking to become a better person thanks to his phone, which he says has prevented him from doing so.

“I want to be a better husband. I want to be a better father. I want to be a better person. I want to be a better artist. I realized that the phone doesn’t help I become whatever I really want to be,” he shared. .
