Ismail Sabri Yaakob, the revered former Prime Minister of Malaysia, was born on January 18, 1960 in the beautiful town of Temerloh in Pahang, Malaysia.
Coming from humble origins, Ismail’s parents, Yaakob Abdul Rahman and Wan Jah Wan Mamat, originally belonged to Kelantan.

Career
In 1985, Ismail began his journey into the legal profession, starting his career as a lawyer.

Continuing to excel in his field, in 1995 he was honored to be appointed Political Secretary to the Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism.

In 2004, Ismail was elected as Member of Parliament (MP) for Bera, Pahang. After being elected, he was appointed Minister of Youth and Sports in 2008.
He held this position until 2009, when he was appointed Minister of Internal Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism, a position he held until 2013.
From 2013 to 2015, Ismail assumed the responsibility of Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry.
