Early life

Jacinta Ocansey was born on October 6 in the family of Mr. Alex Ocansey and Mrs. Eucharia Ocansey. She is the family’s only daughter.

Although her parents are Ghanaian, she was born in Nigeria, where she holds Nigerian citizenship.

She spent her formative years in Nigeria before returning to Ghana to pursue her university education. A very artistic woman, she was known for her pranks that amused her friends and family while growing up.

Gifted with a beautiful voice, she joined her church choir as a teenager and this helped her become a better singer.

Career

Jacinta Ocansey never planned to become a Comedian. But after her mother encouraged her to pursue this career, she decided to give it a try.

Since entering this industry, luck has always been on her side. She has performed at several shows in Nigeria, Ghana and the United Kingdom.

In 2015, she performed at the Akwaaba UK Comedy Night, held at the Movenpick Hotel. In 2016, she appeared on stage at the Lord Of The Ribs Comedy Show in Ghana.

Other shows she has performed in include; MMC Live, Silverbird Comedy Night, DKB Point of View, Corporate Comedy Series, Comedy Night with Buchi, Shakara and the gang, Thursday Live Comedy, Easter Comedy Show, Comedy Express, Girltalk, Lord Of The Ribs and Comedy Bar.

Thanks to her skillful comedy skills, she was hired as an MC for various social and corporate events.

Not long ago, she dropped the single Gyrate featuring Ethel Eshun.
