Joe Budden didn’t hold back when it came to how he and others felt about Drake.
In his November 26 episode Joe Budden Podcastthe host revealed the real reason why Metro Boomin doesn’t like Drake and it has to do with his mother’s death and Drake’s insensitivity.
“You’ve been texting this n—- wife, talking nonsense about when this n—- mother passed away. ‘All that’s great but hey where’s my rhythm n- –? I don’t care -ck that your mother is dead,'” Budden said.
He went on to share that it’s only because Drake has money and connections that he gets away with bad behavior even though he’s an “asshole.”

Metro Boomin’s mother died when her husband killed her in a murder-suicide outside the Atlanta area in 2022. She and Metro were reported to be very close.
That wasn’t the only time Budden spoke to Drake during the podcast.
“He’s a selfish, lying, asshole who’s been making enemies for 15 years and here we are at the boiling point. You guys were behind the scenes beating n— moms , send money to n— honey.” Moms, you’re back to texting this n—‘s wife,” Budden added.
“The days of blindness are over,” he continued. He’s showing you who he is.”
Budden turned his attention to Drake’s music and said that he hasn’t had a memorable single since 2018’s “God’s Plan.” He followed this up by saying that Drake is in a secondary phase of his career of him and powerful figures in the music industry turned their backs on him.
“There’s a list of billionaires who hate him. We’re not talking about the rappers you’re dealing with. They don’t care about these ghetto trash bastards. It’s you who stayed in the game too long,” he shared.

Budden also shared his thoughts on Drake suing Universal Music Group over Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us.”
“He is a selfish, manipulative liar who has been making enemies for 15 years and is now here at the boiling point,” he said.
“You stand behind the scenes as the biggest asshole—you could possibly be,” Budden said of Drake. “I’m not here to play games with you n—-. N—- knows what’s out there. That’s it. And he’s white. And he’s Jewish, and he He’s had too much of a hand in his chips.”
“You think the Karen in him doesn’t want to sue Kendrick directly, then I don’t know what game he’s looking at. They anointed Kendrick, you’re going to take us to the next stratosphere. It’s over.” end with you,” he added.
Previously, Drake continued to sue Lamar by filing a second lawsuit related to the song “Not Like Us” and said that Lamar falsely claimed that he was a pedophile.
In “Not Like Us” Lamar raps: “Hey Drake, I heard you like the kids / You better never go to jail cell one / With any bitch that talks to him and they’re in love / Just make sure you hide your sister from him.”
The new legal documents are not a lawsuit, but rather a pre-filing that seeks to elicit testimony from key figures at UMG and iHeart to gain additional information that could support Drake’s allegations in a future lawsuit.
Lamar is not named as a defendant and has not been charged with any legal wrongdoing to date.
