early life
Joe Pesci, whose real name is Joseph Frank Pesci, was born in Newark, New Jersey, USA.
His father, Angelo Pesci, was a forklift driver, and his mother, Maria Mesche, was a hairdresser.

Joe Pesci attended Belleville High School in New Jersey. At the age of five, he became a regular on the StarTime Kids show on television when he was ten years old.
