Britney Spears’ fans are rallying to get her 2011 song “Criminal” on the charts following Justin Timberlake’s DWI arrest.

One of Britney’s prominent fan groups, the X account Britney Stan, with nearly 70,000 followers, encouraged supporters to buy her song “Criminal” as an apparent response to the troubles. Ex-lover’s legal trouble.

“Fans are buying Britney Spears’ “Criminal” after Justin Timberlake’s arrest,” Britney Stan wrote on Twitter Tuesday morning. The post comes with a clip from the music video.

The tweet refers to comments Timberlake made in 2007 while accepting a Brit Award, which were reportedly aimed at his former partner. He declared, “Stop drinking! You know who you are. I’m talking to you. You’re going to get sloppy. OK! the magazine is going to say something bad about you,” he said, as reported by Fox News.

Timberlake has faced criticism from Britney’s fans over the years, especially after the release of her 2023 memoir, The Woman In Me.

The book details several controversial aspects of their relationship, including allegations that he encouraged her to have an abortion and portrays her in a negative light in public perception. .
